Entrance Guidelines
  • Please have a valid government-issued photo ID ready at the entrance gate.
  • Please have either a printed or electronic ticket ready for scanning at the gate.
  • No gang attire is permitted.
  • Tickets will be for sale at the gate if capacity on the field permits. The cost is $35.00.
  • Bags are permitted but will be checked upon entering the Festival Grounds.
  • Water is permitted however the bottles must be sealed before entering the site. Water is also available for purchase from our food vendors.
  • No food is permitted into the festival grounds.
  • Camping chairs are permitted however they will only be allowed to be set up in one section of the field. Security will be monitoring throughout the show.

Bluefin Camp Ground and RV Park Shuttle Services

All SquidFest campers will have access to shuttle service from the Bluefin Camp Ground & RV Park every 30 minutes starting at 5:30 pm

SquidFest Park & Ride

SquidFest will be dedicating the Eastern Health Building (363 Conception Bay Highway) for Festival Parking. Shuttle service runs from Eastern Health to the Festival Grounds every 30 minutes starting at 5:45 pm and ending end of show.

Accessible Transportation
Free Service for those needing accessible transportation. Available on demand for the Holyrood area by calling or emailing the phone number or email above.

Holyrood General Transportation
Available on demand for the Holyrood area by contacting the phone number or email above. Cash payments only. Costing is dependent on location.

Paradise: 7:00 pm pick-up at Cod Father’s (1354 Topsail Rd), Return: 30 mins after the show ends $20 each way.

CBS: 7:15 pm pick-up Shenanigans, Return 30 mins after the show ends with stops along the main road ending at  Shenanigans. $15 each way.

Harbour Main/Avondale: Pick-up times upon request (call to book). Return 30 mins after the show, and stops along the main road. $15 each way.

We can arrange pick-ups at any location at any time. Please contact the information above to schedule your ride.

Parking

Park and Ride

Options are available from the Eastern Health Building located at 363 Conception Bay Highway. Please see how the shuttle operates in the Park and Ride in the Transportation Section above.

Those looking for parking around the site can try the following locations. Please note these are park at your own risk.

  • Main Beach and Boardwalk
  • Star of the Sea- 255 Conception Bay Highway
  • Holyrood Community Centre 7 Byrnes’ Lane
  • Holy Cross Park – Liam Hickey Drive (1.3km from grounds)

Accessible Parking

Those requiring accessible parking will be permitted to drive down Byrne’s Road and park adjacent to the Holyrood Festival Grounds. Government permits must be visible when entering the site.

Where is SquidFest?

SquidFest is hosted by The Town of Holyrood. As the festival showcases events all over town here are some other locations we may have events:

What are your festival policies?

Please see below:

  • All patrons who wish to purchase, consume or hold alcohol must be at least 19 years of age and must have valid, one-piece, government-issued, photo identification:
    • A valid driver’s license with a photograph
    • Newfoundland Photo Card
    • Canadian Passport
    • Canadian Citizenship Card with a photograph
    • Canadian Armed Forces identification card
  • Staff and management reserve the right to refuse entry or service to any individual or party;
  • Individuals demonstrating signs of intoxication will not be allowed to enter or will be refused service and ejected from the festival;
  • No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted to be brought onto or removed from the premises;
  • Smoking of any kind is prohibited and can be caused for ejection;
  • Staff and management reserve the right to refuse entry or eject patrons based on clothing or apparel deemed to be inappropriate or offensive;
  • The following behaviors are grounds for ejection:
    • Rowdiness, violent or aggressive behavior
    • Use or possession of illegal narcotics
    • Vandalism or theft
    • Engaging in conduct that may cause harm to yourself or others
    • Noncompliance with a staff request
    • Disobeying any festival policy
  • No refunds or exchanges of any kind will occur if a patron is ejected based on action above.

Are the festival grounds accessible?

Byrne’s Road will be closed for the Gig on the Green however we do allow those with a Wheelchair Parking Pass access the road to park in our designated zones next to the field. We will also have an accessible portable toilet on site for use during the show.

Do you allow re-entry?

Yes, we do let participants re-enter onto the festival site however after 10:00 pm there is no re-entry after you leave.

Is there food to purchase?

Yes! We will have 3-4 food vendors on site. Please check back closer to the event and we’ll have our food vendors listed. Keep in mind many food vendors take cash only.
